Name: Harry Potter. House: Gryffindor. Year: Seventh. Position: Vice-President. Qualifications: I've always had a thing for leadership, and I know how to bring people together and create support. I've been the Head of the DA and I think that worked out pretty well. AND I know how to advertise. Everybody needs advertisement.

Thank you, Harry. You may most definitely be part of SPEW. And I think it would be wonderful if you were Vice-President. But if someone else requests, I'll have to take that into consideration.
The first meaning will be next Monday. Let's hope we get some other applications.

Harry faced Hermione and could tell that she wasn't sure whether or not he would make a good Vice President. "I've only even known I was a wizard for seven years" he said, shrugging. "I'm still not very keen on all of this house elf stuff" Harry said, turning to face the table again. He had only had experience with Dobby, who he had set free nearly five years ago. It had felt rather good, but he knew that Dobby was obviously a minority among the elves.
As Harry and Hermione talked in hushed voices about her new club, he saw a girl walking up to them out of the corner of his eye. She looked to be a bit younger than them, but could have easily been a fifth or sixth year. "Oh great..." he said to himself. "Probably another girl who's found out that I'm 'The Chosen One'. I'm fresh out of excuses today Hermione" Harry looked over at his best friend for sympathy, but none was showing.
When the girl finally arrived at their table she asked something about S.P.E.W. which relieved Harry a bit. He had been a little frustrated with all of the popularity lately and it was nice to finally have someone come and talk to him about something that wasn't about his encounters with Voldemort. "Nice to meet you, Danielle. Yes, Harry Potter" he said, still a little worried, but he had a small smile on his face. He made sure that he kept a look out for any kind of love potion though. They were running rampant lately. He'd already barely missed one in a drink that a girl named Yori Travi had given him that morning.
"No, no, not at all" he said, moving his hand in front of him as if to confirm what he was saying. "No positions are taken yet. I believe Hermione was going to announce those kinds of things at the meeting later on in the week" Harry said. "You shouldn't withdraw your name at all" he started, picking up his pumpkin juice and and drinking it in one large gulp.
As he said this, he thought he could see the girl, Danielle, brighten up a bit. Personally, Harry did not mind if the girl was named Vice President. He was mostly doing this for Hermione and not because he believed that Elfish Welfare really needed preserving. In fact, he was sure that most of the house elves would cause an uproar if they knew that Hermione was promoting their rights. The creatures wanted to fight for their rights about as much as their masters wanted to. But that had never really stopped Hermione.

Hermione rolled her eyes as the young girl approached, and Harry turned to her for sympathy. It was ridiculous that he could think she'd feel bad for him because he was popular. Oh my, popularity is absolutely terrible, no one should ever have to deal with it. Hermione straightened the pile of papers, absentmindedly tuned into the girl and Harry's conversation. Hermione's lips grew into a small smile, maybe Harry wouldn't have to be vice-president after all.
